Hearing the words “You have been selected” after a rigorous client interview or trade test is exciting news. However, many candidates wonder: “What happens next, and how long will it take before I actually travel?”

International overseas recruitment involves coordination between multiple government departments in both India and your destination country. Here is a realistic timeline of what to expect.

Week 1: Offer Letter & Acceptance

Immediately following selection:

  • You receive an official written offer specifying your job designation, basic pay, allowances, and working hours.
  • You review the terms and confirm acceptance by signing the document.
  • Your original passport is verified and retained in secure custody for consular submission.

Weeks 2–3: Medical Fitness & Security Clearance

  • Medical Assessment: You are directed to an authorized diagnostic center (GAMCA/Wafid or QVC) for health screening. Reports are typically published within 2 to 4 business days.
  • PCC Application: If travelling to destinations requiring a Police Clearance Certificate (such as Saudi Arabia or Kuwait), your PCC appointment at the Passport Seva Kendra is scheduled.

Weeks 4–6: Work Permit Issuance & Consular Visa Stamping

  • Your foreign employer submits your medical fitness certificate and signed contract to their local Ministry of Labour to generate an official Work Permit / NOC.
  • Once the work permit is received, Khatri Tours & Travels prepares your complete visa dossier.
  • As a Government of India registered recruiting agent (RA8457), we submit your passport and dossier directly to the relevant embassy or consulate in Mumbai for visa endorsement.

Weeks 6–7: eMigrate Clearance & Flight Booking

  • For candidates holding ECR passports, our compliance officers submit your electronic dossier to the Protector of Emigrants (POE) through the eMigrate portal for formal exit clearance.
  • Once POE clearance is approved, airline flight tickets are booked matching the employer’s site mobilization schedule.

Travel Week: Pre-Departure Briefing & Airport Assistance

  • You attend a comprehensive Pre-Departure Orientation at our Mumbai office.
  • You receive your passport with the stamped employment visa, original medical reports, ticket printout, and emergency helpline contact cards.
  • On your day of departure, our airport representative assists you at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.

By following this disciplined, compliant sequence, Khatri Tours & Travels ensures there are no surprises or delays on your journey.
