Recruitment Journey Begins
The founder began working personally within the overseas recruitment domain, learning grassroots candidate sourcing, trade evaluations, and the operational requirements of Gulf contractors. There was not yet a formal Khatri office, but the core standards of candidate care and technical assessment were established during this formative period.
Licensed Recruitment Roots: Khatree Tours & Travels
Formal licensed overseas recruitment operations commenced under the historic legal spelling: KHATREE TOURS & TRAVELS. Operating from Mumbai with authorization from the Indian emigration authorities, the agency began structured mobilization of skilled Indian workers in civil, electromechanical, and technical categories.
Present RC Series Issued: Khatri Tours & Travels
Following an administrative documentation resubmission process rather than a standard renewal, a new Government of India Recruiting Agent Registration Certificate (RC) series was issued by the Ministry of External Affairs under RA ID RA8457. During this process, the name appeared under the modern spelling: KHATRI TOURS & TRAVELS. This remains the current legal and trading brand identity.
GCC Network Expands: Mahad Manpower in Qatar
The founder’s son, Mahad, was born in July 2009, later inspiring the creation of the Mahad brand. On 22 December 2010, Mahad Manpower was officially registered in the State of Qatar. In 2011, following municipality and commercial licensing formalities, Mahad Manpower opened its permanent operating headquarters in Doha, establishing an integrated Gulf presence connecting Mumbai talent sourcing directly with Qatar employers. Later in 2022, Mahad Manpower Private Limited was incorporated in India as an independent corporate entity.
Structured India-to-GCC Recruitment Operations
Khatri Tours & Travels operates as an established, compliant recruiting agent from its registered principal office in Bhandup (West), Mumbai. Sourcing qualified candidates across all six GCC markets (Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain), Khatri combines traditional recruitment integrity with modern trade-testing standards and digital transparency.
Statutory Licence Horizon
The current official Registration Certificate copy held by Khatri Tours & Travels carries formal renewal validity through 05 July 2029, granted by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. This multi-year validity ensures uninterrupted operational standing and legal peace of mind for both workers and client organizations.
Historical Relationship with Mahad Manpower
Khatri Tours & Travels predates Mahad Manpower. Khatri represents the foundational Indian recruitment base established in the 1990s. In 2010, the broader family enterprise expanded into the Gulf by registering Mahad Manpower in Qatar (commercial operations commenced in Doha in 2011), creating a seamless corridor for Indian recruitment into Gulf markets. In 2022, Mahad Manpower Private Limited was incorporated in India as a separate legal corporate entity.
